In the world today, you will but a phone, and it will be locked to one single network. This is because the network providers lock the phones to only accept their SIM cards, so you don’t change network. Well, what if you wanted to change network? There is a simple solution. Unlock your phone!
Reasons to unlock your phone are:

There are many websites and shops that unlock your phone for around 5.
You can change SIM card whenever, wherever you like.
Changing your SIM can save you money, different networks offer different tariffs.
When you buy a new phone, unlocking your old phone to sell it, or giving it to a friend, means that you will either get a lot more money for the phone (you will attract more people rather then just one group of people on the same network) or you will be able to give the phone away without hassle. Your friend can keep the same card and number.
You don’t have to take the phone with you to most shops, and you won’t have to send anything off to websites! It is all done remotely, and you receive your codes within 25 hours. All you need is a few details about your phone!

Reasons why not to unlock your phone:

	There are no reasons!
The price? No! It doesn’t have to cost as much as 5! Many places including my website offer unlocking for a lot of phones for a very small amount!
You can buy software to unlock you phone for very cheap prices, and the software works for unlimited use!
Buy cables for your phone to update and flash your phone!

So unlock your phone now!
You just poured hours upon hours into a lengthy research paper. All that’s left to do is print it out. And that’s the easy part, right? Sure looks easy from the user perspective, but it’s actually quite complicated. A series of critical processes kick off as soon as you kit the OK button.
The first thing that happens is your software application (MS Word, Excel, etc) sends the data you want to print to your printer driver. The printer driver is nothing more than some software that translates data into a format that your specific printer can understand. When you buy a new printer, it generally comes with a CD. On that CD is the printer driver software you need to enable your specific printer to talk to your computer.
The printer driver takes the translated data and physically sends it along to your printer. It’s able to connect to the printer via the USM connection interface. Much of the data received by the printer goes directly into the printer buffer, where it is stored. By storing the data within the printer itself you’re able to finish the print job quickly.
If you just turned your printer on for the first time in a while or if the printer has been standing idle for a while, the printer will run through a series of diagnostic tests. Some of these tests check he availability of ink, while others clean the print heads.
Once this preprinting step completes, your printer brain sends a message to the paper stepper motor telling it to engage the rollers and feed paper into the printer body. As the paper is being fed into the machine, the belt pulls the print head into “ready” position. When the paper is perfectly positioned, the print head goes to town, firing droplets of ink at the paper. With incredible speed and accuracy, the print head travels back and forth across the page spewing colors. When it reaches the end of the page, the stepper is quickly engaged, advancing the paper forward. This process continues until the print job is complete.

Nobody wants to be caught with his pants down. Aside from the great inconvenience, you will be put in a very awkward position and you’ll have a tough time making a rebound. So how do you keep those pants on?
A key factor in every successful undertaking is a sound plan. Making an outline of the steps to be taken as well as preparing for contingencies if things go awry is very important. You can’t possibly play basketball without a ball, right? Without having planned the game, you must have ASSUMED that someone have brought that ball. No plan has been made and no coordination took place and that is why we simply assumed and we know that assumptions are one big killer of success. Instead of hearing, “I thought…” it would have been very good to hear “I’m sure.” And just what on earth has this got to do with printing?
Like everything else, a successful print venture benefits from good planning. Basic to your printing success is a good understanding of what it is that you want, what you need to get that goal and making a follow-through. An efficient starter would be making a preparation of all the materials, know-how and the manpower needed for the task. All of these of course will have to take into consideration the available budget allotted. Gathering the materials in advance is a surefire way to cut costs because this will prevent you from making rush orders which are usually astronomically priced. Also, learn in advance the processes and techniques that will be used in your printing endeavor. Making a trial-and-error approach here is not only unwise but costly. The needed manpower pool should be ready by now and have been informed what to do. You must have communicated with them what is your goal and how to reach it. Make sure, do not ASSUME, that you have been understood for this will make the work flow smoother and will save time and money plus this will spare you from headaches. Typical errors committed are because of these unnecessary assumptions.
The keywords to remember here are PLANNING and COMMUNICATION and that presumptions should not be made or else there will be trouble. Think long-term and make sound plans and you can be sure to reap the benefits of what you have sown. And that my friend, will keep your pants on.

Finding Your Store
There are a number of ways you can go about finding a nice store to buy from online. First, depending on what you’re trying to buy, try to think if anyone’s mentioned any online stores for buying similar products. Especially if you’ve noticed people offline talking about it, it’s probably really reliable. Big sites, like Amazon, have great reputations- and will probably lead to a safer purchase.
If the product you want resides in a “niche” and isn’t exactly mainstream, you may not have heard any mentions of where you could go. If this is the situation you find yourself in, you do have some more options. If you’re willing to spend the time, try to find a forum on the particular subject you’re interested in. Read around, someone’s sure to mention a nice place to get those products. Just because a store isn’t as large as Amazon doesn’t mean it won’t be as well established for being reliable inside your particular “genre” of stores.
If you want to go a quicker route, try Google’s search, or even their new price comparison tool Froogle.
Making Sure You’ve Picked a Safe Store
There are a number of things you should absolutely check for before spending money online. First, is there any contact info on the site? Make sure there’s a phone number as well. You may even want to call it, if you’re not sure about the store. Second, when you’re filling out your order and you’re about to submit your credit card information, make sure they’re a “secure” page with encryption. Some browsers will notify when you’re on a secure page, others will just have a “lock” icon towards the bottom of the browser window.
There are also things that aren’t necessary, but certainly don’t hurt to look at, too. Try installing the Google Toolbar. If your store has a high PageRank, it’s probably a well established site. Anything above a PageRank of 5 is probably a “super” store. Also try entering the store’s name into Google and see what people have said about them. If you’re having trouble finding anything with a basic search, try adding “review” or “store review” to the query.
If you’re still not quite sure about a store, try calling the phone number just to be safe. If you get through without a problem, the chances that they’re a decent respectable business are quite high.

Technorati tags: youre store sure number probably

I ordered my Sprint PCS Treo 650 and it was delivered within days. I was replacing my older Sprint Samsung I300 which is another Palm PDA phone but uses the older Palm III OS and has no camera. I really wanted a camera phone but needed a PDA with calendar and contact information to get my Outlook data synchronized with my PDA. When the Treo 650 came out with the camera phone and Palm V PDA I knew it was time to retire the I300. I initial impression is that this is one easy to use phone. It has a built in tour that will make you a phone expert within minutes. I went from poking around with the built in stylus to running the thing one handed from the arrow and button pad. The Qwerty keyboard is amazingly fast and moving from application to application is seamless. The only thing I wish it did better was give you a quick shot button to activate the camera. The best I could figure was to put the camera icon in on the main screen and then get real good at running that app and snapping the shot. The camera also functions as a video recorder and you can save video and pictures to a SD memory card if you purchase one separately. Setup of the phone was easy, simply drop the CD-Rom in your PC and let it load. Reboot and have the phone hooked up to your USB port and it will setup your Palm Desktop or Outlook synchronization. Installing applications is easy with the Palm installer that comes with the software.
The Treo is quite slim and the feel in your pocket is deceptively small. My I300 was slightly longer and maybe 1/4″ thicker but felt like it took up my entire pocket. With the Treo 650 I worry about losing it because I’m used to a larger feel from my phone / PDA.
The camera on the trio is top notch for a camera phone and lets yo shut off the sound for stealth. No flash is available yet pictures come out well indoors.
Overall the Treo 650 performs the duties of a phone/PDA/Camera well enough to justify the $600.00 price tag.

Traditionally, the December holiday season is the most important part of the year for many businesses, especially those in retail. But so far, predictions aren't that rosy for this year's profits

Traditionally, the December holiday season is the most important part of the year for many businesses, especially those in retail. But so far, predictions aren’t that rosy for this year’s profits. High gas prices, high cost of living, and low consumer confidence are expected to put a damper on the holiday shopping plans for many.
But that’s not entirely true for everyone. You can expect online shopping to be bigger than ever. Why? Let me outline a few reasons why online retail sites like Amazon, to small home-based operations will be raking in the cash in the weeks ahead.
1. Very few are going to blow off the holidays, even if funds are low. And most people will buy cheaper gifts rather than cross some loved ones off their shopping list. When people don’t have a lot of disposable cash, they look for low prices. Suddenly bargain hunting becomes the order of the day.
Expect masses of North Americans to flock to online retail sites in ever greater numbers. The super-low overhead of online retail allows sites to offer wide selection at the lowest prices on Earth. After a decade of Internet shopping, millions of people are now fully aware of this truth. Expect a very large percentage of them to purchase some or all of their gifts online.
2. Gas is still high and may go even higher in the weeks ahead. This means wading through clogged streets filled with holiday shoppers is something most of our pocket books just don’t want to go through. High gas prices also mean paying for online purchases to be shipped to you is no longer an imposition. Many will be thinking “The 3 bucks for shipping is a lot less than the $20 I’ll spend driving all over town to the malls.”
3. People are working harder than ever. The demands of one, two, even three jobs while taking care of family is leaving millions of Americans will zero free time. This means they need to sandwich holiday shopping into their lunch break or even during a slow period at work. Yes, expect these folks to also do their shopping online in unprecedented numbers.
The bottom line is clear: if you’re a consumer, give yourself a needed break and do your holiday gift buying online. If you’re an online retailer, get ready for a holiday buying season you may not soon forget.

Contrary to popular belief computer users are at a great risk of being invaded by spyware and other surveillance software from remote areas. Normally, people were unconcerned with surveillance software because it was assumed it could only be installed with physical access. Several surveillance software and spyware providers are now advertising remote deployment software that can be installed from any computer anywhere and the information collected from the subject is sent back to the intruder’s computer.
Spyware or surveillance software can easily be slipped into someone’s computer through and email attachment, greeting card or simply by visiting a web site. Instead of destroying a computer’s hardware as do Trojans and viruses, surveillance software works silently through the computer to gather personal information to send to a third party. Many users have thought in the past that such software could not be installed without physical access but remote deployment spyware is on the rise.
Remote deployment of surveillance software through email works by sending an attachment that often looks like a screen saver and once it is opened the user is immediately infected. Surveillance software is remotely deployed through web sites by the browser displaying a message and if the user accepts, the ActiveX control is activated which contains spyware. Snoops also send surveillance software through greeting cards. The intruder sends an e-card and when the user views the card they are inadvertently infected with spyware.
These methods of remotely installing spyware onto someone’s computer work well because users are unaware that the installation is possible without physical access. Firewalls, anti-virus and adware scanners are incapable of detecting and removing these surveillance applications. To rid your computer of the spyware you must download a tool designed specifically for detecting and removing surveillance software.

OK, so let’s go over something that is a nuisance to most, a pet peeve to me. Did you get that really cool e-mail yesterday? You know, the one with all of the cool pictures embedded in it? Oh, you mean you were like me … just a bunch of red x’s where the picures were supposed to be?
Did you ever feel like you had done something wrong when you got an email like that? So did I … until I scoured through my Outlook Express settings and discovered it wasn’t something on my end … it was something done by the sender of the email!
So, the next time you get an e-mail without the “fantastic” pictures you’re supposed to enjoy, just send a friendly note to the sender informing them that they need to fix their email options. For Outlook Express, you can simply cut and paste the instructions below :-). Other email clients will be somewhat different, but should have similar options available.
To send pictures with an e-mail, do the following:
1. In Outlook Express, click on “Tools” and then “Options”
2. Click on the send tab, and ensure that under “Mail Sending Format”, the option for HTML should be checked off.
3. Now click on the HTML Settings button.
4. Ensure that the “Send Pictures with Messages” option is checked off.
This will make sure that the people who you forward messages to with pictures will get them. It is up to the sender of the e-mail, not the reciever to determine the e-mail’s format and what is included.
This will help with those who don’t know how to fix computer problems.
Until next time … happy email viewing!
